if they can spend in large amounts, but how you spend your only dash. Today’s writer’s poem wednesday, is a fairly popular one by Linda Ellis, she causes us to reflect upon the life we’ve lived through our journey from birth towards death. our dash will someday represent, and decide if the life we’re given. In her poem 'The Dash,' you will find inspiration and the need to reflect on your own life and wha. The message is very clear it’s not really how long we live that’s important, but what we do with the years we have been given. A poem about living life to the fullest and enjoying your time here on earth. The poem compares the dash between the dates on a tombstone to the time that people spend alive on earth and the importance of living and loving. One minute we are hale and hearty and the next, we are downing pills trying to make it through the night in one piece. This a great video that captures the work of Linda Ellis. The Dash by Linda Ellis one of my favourite poems which I often include at a Celebration of Life ceremony, where the deceased has died younger than expected. A poem that urges people to cherish the time they have on earth and to treat others with respect and love.
